While we don’t think we will ever get tired of its delicious, healthy (and bread justifying) qualities, sometimes you just have to break it up. Who better to get us out of our avo comfort zone than the ultimate game-changer – Lorna Jane Clarkson. Check out her favourite healthy toast topper alternatives to inspire your next snack.

FEATURE-LJ-Toast-Toppers

CHERRY, MACADAMIA BUTTER & COCONUT.

1 piece of rye sourdough, toasted
2 tablespoons macadamia butter (or any nut butter) spread to your liking.
4 cherries, cut in half, seed removed
1 teaspoon coconut flakes, sprinkled on top

CHOC, PEANUT BUTTER, BANANA & CACAO.

1 piece of rye sourdough, toasted
Peanut butter chocolate spread or hazelnut butter, spread to your liking.
Half of one banana, sliced.
Sprinkle of cacao nibs
Sprinkle of bee pollen

AVOCADO, PISTACHIO & STRAWBERRY.

1 piece of rye sourdough, toasted
1/4 of one avocado, sliced and spread onto bread (more if you need)
2 strawberries, sliced
Sprinkle of pistachios
